Summer is officially here!  In April, we mailed you Purple Coneflower seed packets.  One of our clients sent us the picture above showing the fruits of their labor. If you would like a seed package, please send an email to clientsupport@atlaspwm.com.

As things begin to heat up we are excited to share with you several announcements.

We are elated to welcome you back into the office as in-person meetings have been re-instated.  We will still be adhering to guidance at the state and federal level in an effort to keep everyone safe.  We have been looking forward to this milestone in normalcy and are excited for what is to come.

Around the Community

Like many, we “cleaned house” during the pandemic trying to make the best of quarantines.  If you haven’t heard of Joseph’s House, now is your chance.  Joseph’s House provides emergency shelter and support services to roughly 1,900, men, women, and children annually.  The team at Joseph’s House works to build relationships based in dignity and respect to foster a successful transition for each guest it serves.  This house, founded in 1983, offers a safe space that provides non-judgmental services to end homelessness.  We were recently able to donate printers, laptops, a desk, and business supplies to support their administrative needs.  For more information on Joseph’s House please visit https://www.josephshousetroy.org/

A Blossoming Partnership

As the pandemic pressed on and we took the temperature of our team members’ interests, we took stock of what is important.  A cause that reigned high for many was the efforts of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (RMHC-CR).  On June 30, 1982, the Albany Ronald McDonald House opened its doors to its very first guests.  Since then nearly 20,000 families have been served by the “House That Love Built.”  The House is the cornerstone of RMHC of the Capital Region, providing a home away from home — free of charge — for families with children facing serious medical issues.  Through its core programs, RMHC-CR  provides a loving, compassionate environment where families can rest without having to worry about anything but their child’s recovery.

Beginning July 1, RMHC-CR began its Christmas in July campaign. This project is a collection supporting the needs of guests for the Ronald McDonald House in Albany established in 1982, the Ronald McDonald Family Room (Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med), and the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat at Krantz Cottage (Lake George). We are very excited to sponsor this effort to collect the most-needed wish list gifts for this month long collection. For more information visit https://rmhcofalbany.org/christmasinjuly/

On July 10, team members of Atlas were able to participate in the 39 Years of Love Parade to celebrate the 39th birthday of the Albany Ronald McDonald House.  The firm was proud to serve as the Grand Marshal Sponsor.  This along with many other efforts to come is just a small part we can play to help support the RMHC-CR team and the families they serve.  For more information you can visit… https://rmhcofalbany.org/about-us/
