New! Atlas is Now Able to Manage 401(k), 401(a), 457 and 403(b) Plans

While self-management and/or leveraging Lifestyle/Target Date funds in a retirement plan can offer a viable solution for some investors, Atlas is now able to manage the investments in employer-sponsored retirement plans for those who decide not to. Atlas can review and manage retirement accounts while also considering an investor’s total investment portfolio including tax-deferred and taxable accounts. Accounting for fund limitations in a retirement plan could also potentially be offset by changes in the investment portfolio within another account, where applicable. Atlas Highlights – Fall 2023

Atlas Summer Series was out of the park!

This summer was chock full of activities from beginning to end. Throughout the summer you could find some team members throwing axes at Generation Axe Throwing, helping out at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, competing in trivia, and bowling at Apex Entertainment to name a few.

Safeguarding Against Fraud Seminar – Presented at the Albany Guardian Society

Founded in 1852, Albany Guardian Society, located in Albany, New York, is one of the region’s oldest charitable foundations. The mission of Albany Guardian Society is to improve the lives of older adults in the Capital Region, their families and their caregivers, through information, education, research, and collaboration. Albany Guardian Society offers over 150 classes on age related topics throughout the year.

Representing Atlas, Lissa McNaughton, was onsite at Albany Guardian Society in September delivering a hybrid presentation to attendees in person and on Zoom. Aligning with Albany Guardian Society’s mission, Lissa helped the audience become more aware of the scams and fraud victimizing people today. Consumers reported losing almost $8.8 billion to scams and fraud in 2022, up 30% over 2021’s losses, according to numbers from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The rising cost of these crimes is staggering, considering that in 2020 Americans lost only $3.5 billion to fraud, including identity theft. The FTC also reports that while a smaller percentage of older people report being victims of scams than younger people, they tend to lose far more money to these crimes. If you would like to learn more about the upcoming classes offered by AGS, you can find a complete list at Events – Albany Guardian Society

Atlas is proud to help our community by raising awareness of common scams and what you can do to prevent fraud and protect yourself. Would your organization or community be interested in having Atlas present? Just reach out to us at 518-482-5777
