“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is,
‘what are you doing for others?’”
We honor the memory of a great
American: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who
gave his life in service of creating a better
world for future generations.
Thank you, Dr. King.
A Season of Giving
The experience that is the novel coronavirus, created a host of difficulties for many individuals and organizations over the past year. While there were many trials, there were also many highlights for us to be able to reflect upon. From winter apparel and toiletry drives to a virtual fundraising gala … the needs do not stop so neither can we. Looking to the future, we know that what is to come may be uncertain, but in a time of need, we can all rally to support what means the most to us and our communities.
Atlas team members coordinated to support the missions of various organizations this past year including: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Albany, the City of Mission of Schenectady and Maria College’s Pantry.
Throughout the year Maria College collects items to fulfill the needs of their students, from food insecurity to personal care needs. We were happy to be able to team up and support this cause brought to us by team member Lissa McNaughton. The use of this service offered by the college is both anonymous and confidential for its students.
During the winter months, the City Mission of Schenectady’s Operation Warm and Safe campaign provides over 1,300 coats along with other winter accessories for men, women, and children who need them. This organization does not receive government funding and is able to continue to operate through the support of generous community members, associations, and churches.
